I love the Living With Kids series on Design Mom, and have always wanted to do one as soon as the house was finished. One day I realized that that day was going to come 5-10 years in the future (or maybe never?!?), so I should just bite the bullet and try.
Gabrielle responded with a kindly worded email saying my pictures weren't up to snuff. In fact, it was so kindly worded, that I almost didn't catch what she was telling me. But after some reading, I thought I could give it another shot. I fiddled with the ISO, the white balance, the time of day, etc. and I came up with much better pictures.
At first I thought I'd go back to all my old posts and replace the pictures, but then I remembered that it's fun to document progress. So below I've posted my new and improved pictures along with a link to my original write up of the room and the pictures I took with the camera on auto.
And by the way, my Living With Kids interview is up today on Design Mom, so head over there to read it!
Kids' Rooms (The original ones of these are especially bad)
A word about this picture. It's not on DesignMom for a reason, probably ;). You may notice that many of my kids are wearing pajamas under their clothes. Anyway, I said, "Go get some clothes on; I want to take everyone's picture!" And this is what they came down in. We did take some more pictures on Sunday in their good clothes, but this really was the best picture. Any of you with a handful of kids probably know how that goes :).
